A new and less invasive treatment than alternative methods, such as laser re-surfacing, which destroy the top layer of the skin and can cause hypo-pigmentation and photosensitivity. Medical research into CIT indicates that similar results can be achieved with less cost and “downtime” (a healing time of hours not days) for the patient. It can be repeated without any restrictions.

CIT works by stimulating the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally. New elastin and collagen are formed and the scars naturally relaxed and remodelled over a period of months. In some cases following CIT, natural pigmentation will also be noticed. five or six treatments may be required for acne scarring.

In the case of acne scarring, clinical trials have shown up to 75% of patients have shown good or excellent results in both scarring and also hyper-pigmentation.
